Health and Wellness coaching

Health and wellness coaches are part wellness authority, part supportive mentor, and part behavior change specialist. They partner with clients who are seeking to enhance their well-being through self-directed, lasting changes in alignment with their values. Health coaches often work with clients to implement individualized food and lifestyle changes that meet the client’s unique needs and health goals. In the course of their work, health and wellness coaches display unconditional positive regard for their clients and a belief in clients’ capacity for change. They honor that each client is an expert on their own life, ensuring that all interactions are respectful and non-judgmental.

Here at Allium we provide coaching services in a few ways. For current Naturopathic patients we provide one-on-one sessions in collaboration with the treatment plans already laid out by Dr. Cook. Coaching services are also available for new patients, as well as patients who are part of our practice but not currently seeking naturopathic care. 

Through coaching we will:

• Provide a positive relationship that empowers you to make lasting changes for better health and well-being
• Offer you support, accountability, collaboration, education, and resources
• When necessary, translating the Doctor's plan of care into a plan of action
• Assisting with dietary changes, food plans, and physical activity protocols
• Assistant with overcoming roadblocks and supporting mindset changes

AMY HOWMAN studied with the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy in conjunction with the Functional Medicine Institute to acquire a Certification in Health Coaching. Prior to becoming a health coach Amy has two decades worth of coaching, leadership, and development skills working with many different clients to address their professional, personal, and life goals.
